Lour always knew she was meant to be an actor and singer. “When I was a kid, I was always inventing little songs and acting out skits in my backyard. I would write songs about my favorite cartoon shows, what I ate in the morning, what I saw while riding my back outside, and then would perform these songs at the school’s talent shows. And I would come up with skits as my dad drove my around town in his car, create made-up scenarios and act them out to family members and other kids at school. And somewhere along the way, it just became obvious to me that I would keep doing it my whole life.”
In the Holy Land, Lour studied theatre at Ashtar theatre, music (voice and guitar) at the Edward Said Conservatory of Music, and was a prima dance member at El-Funoun Dance Troupe.
Lour then triple majored in Theatre, Music, and English at Williams College, graduating with honors in theatre (performance), and awards in music (vocal performance). In addition to performing in musicals and plays, Lour was also the soloist for the Middle Eastern Music Ensemble and a sound engineer at STUDIO 275. Lour also studied theatre at the National Theatre Institute (NTI) and has been named a Lin-Manuel Miranda Fellow by the Lin-Manuel Miranda Family Foundation.
